About dbdesc

The first version of dbdesc was developed for internal use. When doing contract work, sometimes, our customers asked us to give them database documentation and other times we must code against an inherited database so we needed a tool to generate database documentation. When we started to use it, we discover that it was extremely useful for us.

There are similar products out there like dbdesc, but dbdesc is simpler, fully customizable, offers multi-database support and costs a fraction of the price of other products.

This version adds support for SQL Server 2014/2016 databases, improves the default templates and fixes some bugs.
